TERROR TRAIN (1981)
Starring Jamie Lee Curtis and David Copperfield Not as bad as some of the other "Halloween" clones that came out in the early 1980s, this film does have the distinction of starring the Halloween scream queen herself, Curtis, and features a pretty kick-ass chase scene at the end. A bunch of party animals decide to celebrate New Year's by holding a costume party on a moving locomotive, hence the title "Terror Train." Naturally, a homicidal maniac crashes the bash, knocking off the partying medical students one by one The killings may have something to do with a college prank played years earlier and involving a medical cadaver. Copperfield looks dazed and confused in his less-than-exciting role as (you guessed it) a magician on the train.Worth watching if you're a big fan of "Halloween" clones (which many of us are). Otherwise, skip it. Spottiswoode would go on to make one of the worst James Bond movies of all time, "Tomorrow Never Dies."
