BLOODSTORM: SUBSPECIES IV (1998) Directed by Ted Nicolaou Starring Anders Hove and Denice Duff Kick-ass sequel carries on the unrequited-love story between the powerful Romanian vampire Radu (Hove) and his American fledgling Michelle (Duff), a vampire who hasn't yet surrendered all her ties to mortality. Meanwhile, a war erupts between vampires over possession of the Bloodstone. The film does an excellent job of following up exactly where the last in the series left off, even though four years had passed since the making of "Bloodlust: Subspecies 3." Director Nicolaou has operated on a low-budget for all of these Full Moon Pictures productions, but has managed to make the best direct-to-video horror series of all time and some of the best modern vampire movies ever made.
