Directed by John Pieplow
Starring Dee Snyder and Kevin
Gage
Dee Snyder, of the rock group
"Twisted Sister," wrote and stars as the psychopath "Captain Howdy" in
this weak "Silence of the Lambs" rip off.
Captain Howdy is a deranged
"modern primitive," with tattoos, body piercings and a penchant for torturing
young women he's seduced to his suburban home through Internet chat rooms. Robert Englund
has a small role as a redneck who leads a mob after Snyder is released from a mental
institution only four years after being captured.
Overall, the film has nothing
to offer that hasn't been done better before. Snyder's script is painfully
predictible.
Pieplow's direction lacks any suspense or style.
In short, this movie is a
pass, although fans of "Twisted Sister" might get a kick out of the reunion
video at the end of the movie.
