Wow, does this movie suck.
There are some films that suck-ass so bad that they're funny. Then there are some films that suck-ass so bad you literally feel sorry for the people that made them.
This is one of the latter. Brian Yuzna, I feel for ya. You did a great job on "The Dentist," it's true. That was a great movie. But this time around, I'm sorry to say, you sucked pretty hard.
A Beverly Hills high school students suspects that his parents and sister are part of a bizarre society where incest and bizarre rituals take place. You wonder if he's going crazy at first, but nothing in the story makes much sense.
Then you realize that the movie just sucks ass.
The end, where he learns that he's adopted and his parents are part of some kind of secret, bizarre race of blood-sucking flesh eaters, does feature some impressive make-up effects. But that's about the most you can give this piece of total garbage.
Yuzna went on to direct "Return of the Living Dead 3" and "Bride of Re-animator," two inferior sequels to other movies which were nonetheless infinitely superior to this.
