SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE (1982)
Starring Michelle Michaels and Robin Stille Nice title, but beyond that, this flick sucks. A girls' slumber party is crashed by an escaped psychopath who kills 'em off, one by one. We've seen it all before and it's done worse this time around. With a title like this, however, the movie was bound to make money on the video market that was only just starting to sweep America and a sequel resulted. Distributors marketed this little hunk of junk as revolutionary because it was written and directed by women: Writer Rita Mae Brown would go on to pen a couple of TV movies, while director Jones would direct relatively big-budget pics like "The Rich Man's Wife." |
