SLEEPWALKERS (1992)

Directed by Mick Garris

Starring Madchen Amick and Brian Kruase

Pretty dull Stephen King movie—penned specifically for the screen by the master himself—isn't saved the presence of the gorgeous Amick.

Amick is a local girl who falls for a life-sucking "sleepwalker," played by Krause. Sleepwalkers are vampire-like creatures who look human and enjoy sucking the life out of nubile young virgins. Their natural enemies are ordinary cats. Oh yeah, and they also get off on incest. Krause's character sometimes has sex with his sleepwalker mom.

Yep, you guessed it, this movie sucks hard. Garris is King's favorite director, having directed "The Stand" and "The Shining" for television. Unfortunately, he's also one of the worst ever to helm King's stories—and "Sleepwalkers" is perhaps the worst film he ever made for the horror writer. But at least it isn't as bad as the all-time lamest King flick: "The Mangler."
