RETURN TO HORROR HIGH (1987)

Directed by Bill Froehlich

Starring Vince Edwards and Brendan Hughes

Really awful "is it real or not?" slasher film, very reminiscent of the equally-horrible "April Fool's Day." It remains in print on DVD thanks to a small appearance by a very young George Clooney early in the film. A film team have set up shop at a high school that was the site of some gruesome killings five years earlier. As they begin filming the movie based on the actual killings, it becomes difficult to decipher what's real and what's just a movie. Fans of "The Brady Bunch" will be able to spot Marsha () as a cop.

This came out in the late 1980s, when studios that thought horror films were crap were carelessly cranking out total shit, assuming horror fans would eat it all up. Yum. Nope. Truth is, it takes someone who appreciates horror to make horror. This film clearly wasn't made by anyone who understands what a good fear film is. I apologize for the brevity of this review, but (once again) this is just not a movie worth wasting my (or your) time on. Avoid it.
