PUPPET MASTER 2 (1990) Directed by David Allen Starring Elizabeth Maclellan and Collin Bernsen Overly talky sequel to the less-than-average film "Puppet Master." The living, murderous puppets from the first picture revive their creator from the grave. A group of paranormal experts who are staying at his house to research the happenings from the first film meet the Puppet Master, who is so badly decomposed he now wears goggles and bandages, making him look like the main character of the Universal Studios film "The Invisible Man." Things don't get very interesting until the very end of the picture, when the Puppet Master transfers his life force into a life-sized puppet, before his miniature creations decide to turn on him. Like many Full Moon Pictures productions, this film is slick, features good-looking actors and adequate effects, but somehow seems watered down. There are a few gory moments, but nothing to write to mom about. The series got even worse with later, forgettable films that featured the puppets as good guys.
