Aside from being the great James Cameron's first movie, there isn't anything remarkable about this name-only sequel to Joe Dante's 1978 spoof.
The piranha fish actually fly in this movie, if that makes any sense. It's quite bloody, but beyond that there's nothing to recommend. It's hard to believe it was directed by the guy who would go on to make "Aliens" and "The Titanic."
