POPCORN (1991)

Directed by Mark Herrier

Starring Jil Schoeen and Tom Villard

Years before "Scream" came this lame-ass slasher pic featuring film students who constantly talk about movies. The students decide to have a horror marathon at a theater. Of course, a real killer shows up and starts knocking people off. Tony Roberts (who used to be a regular in Woody Allen films) plays the film professor.

The flick literally looks and feels like a student project. There's no gore, sex or unintentional laughs to speak of. Just a boring movie that runs like an After School Special with washed up actors like Roberts.

So weak it's worthless.

Director Herrier (who was a star of the "Porky's" movies) never directed another movie.
