LITTLE WITCHES (1996)

Directed by Jane Simpson

Starring Mimi Riechmeister and Sheeri Rappaport

Despite a great tagline—"Forgive Me Father, For I Am Sin"—this movie about girls at a Catholic boarding school getting involved in witchcraft doesn't hold a candle to "The Craft" released the same year.

The most that can be said for it is that the witches—unlike the ones in "The Craft"—take their clothes off. That's a big plus for teenage boys, but for young women—who are supposed to be the target market for this stuff—that's totally offensive, unacceptable, outrageous and totally out of line with what they're teaching in women's studies courses. No wonder this flick went straight to video where slimy teenage guys could get their filthy sexist paws on it.

Weak plot, no cool make-up effects, no shocks, nothing scary—there's nothing in this movie. Skip it.
