LADY FRANKENSTEIN (1970)

Directed by Ernst R. von Theumer

Starring Joseph Cotten and Sara Bay

Mildly entertaining Italian sex shocker casts Frankenstein's daughter (Bay) as the sexually over-charged heavy. When her Dad (Cotten) creates a monster in the usual fashion, he suddenly feels repentant, that it's a crime against God to create such a creature. Of course the monster kills him and gets lose. His daughter, also a scientist, decides to carry on his work. To create her dream lover, she asks her Dad's assistant to put his brain into the body of a retarded guy with a great body. Overcome by her seductive abilities, he complies, murdering the dullard with a pillow right before he and Lady Frankenstein were about to get it on.

Meanwhile, the original monster continues killing people in town, and the villagers start getting suspicious that there's something seriously dysfunctional about the Frankenstein clan. Loaded with sex and some pretty original ideas for a low-budget Italian horror film, "Lady Frankenstein" is mildly worth cathing. If you're really looking for a sick Frankie flick, get "Flesh for Frankenstein."
