HOUSE II: THE SECOND STORY (1987)

Rated PG-13, unlike the original's R rating, this doesn't even belong in this list, but those that liked the first might be fooled into renting this, a buddy picture played strictly for laughs, or attempts at laughs. The story about two guys moving into a haunted house, similar to the one seen in the last film, has nothing to do with the story of Part 1.
The focus is completely on jokes—and lame-ass jokes at that. The film, which attempts to be an offbeat comedy not unlike "An American Werewolf in London," even casts John Ratzenberger from the sitcom "Cheers" as an electrician who discovers an alternative universe in the new house. But even fans of that lame sitcom will groan at his presence here. In the end, there's nothing to cheer about in this flick. Skip it.
