HAUNTING OF MORELLA (1990) Directed by Jim
Wynorski
Starring David McCallum and Nicole Eggert This lame Roger Corman-produced gothic drama occasionally shows up late at night on pay channels because of its strong sexual content. It's got your standard, lesbian overtones; a naked bathtub scene; a scene where two women bathe under a water fall (wearing only bikini bottoms); and really bad acting. Set in Colonial America, what little plot the film has revolves around the execution of a witch (Eggert) who comes back seventeen years later to inhabit the body of her now-grown daughter. Although it's based on a story by Edgar Allen Poe, it doesn't come even remotely near the greatness of Corman's Poe films from the 1960s. Still the sex scenes are pretty groovy. Eggert is mostly famous for a stint as a babe on the series "Baywatch." Pretty dull stuff. Teenage boys might find something inspiring here, but for anyone and everyone elseskip it. For a better selection of so-called "erotic" horror films, go to the Hot Horror Babes list.
