FRANKENHOOKER (1990)
Starring James Lorinz and Patt Mullen Another good one from Henenlotter. Lorinz plays an electrician who accidentally decapitates his girlfriend (Mullen) with a lawnmower. Obsessed with bringing her back to life, he's able to bring together a group of crack whores, murdering them with some explosive crack. He uses their pieces to construct a new body for his girlfriend, thus creating "Frankenhooker." Like Henenlotter's "Basket Case," this film plays mostly for laughs, but it doesn't have the creepy, sleazy, nihilistic, low-budget feel as that movie. It also isn't as subtle or intelligent as "Brain Damage." Still, it's Henenlotter. Original videocassettes were released with a button on the front of the box. You could press it and hear Frankenhooker say, "Wanna date?"
