After "A Nightmare on Elm Street," director Craven was given carte blanche to produce whatever he liked.
What he liked then, unfortunately, was an incredibly weak concept about a geek who resurrects his dead girlfriend with computer technology.
Obviously, Craven didn't have his mind together at the time.
No gore, sex, thrills, chills, suspense or anything interesting to speak of. Pass.
Craven would improve his work greatly in the future, especially with his comeback classic, "The Serpent and the Rainbow" and the incredible "Nightmare on Elm Street" follow up, "Wes Craven's New Nightmare."
