CAT'S EYE (1985)
Starring James Woods and Drew Barrymore Weak collection of Stephen King short stories, wrapped around a subplot about child star Drew Barrymore's search for a lost cat. Memorable only for the fact that King wrote the screenplay. The best story is the opening piece, featuring James Woods as a nicotine addict who joins a rehab program that will rape your wife and cut off your finger if you ever smoke a cigarette again. Aside from that opening piece, there's nothing to recommend here. Pass. Teague went on to direct the even worse King film "Silver Bullet." Barrymore's other King film was "Firestarter." |
