BLOOD SPATTERED BRIDE (1972)
Starring Simon Andreu and Alexandra Bastedo Weak Spanish horror film is yet another adaptation of the tired "Carmilla" lesbian vampire story. Also known as "Til Death Do Us Part," the film is heavily edited in the U.S. Uncut versions are available on the Web. A man and his new wife find themselves wrapped up with Carmilla (Bastedo), the vampire who descended from the Karnstein family depicted in the sexy Hammer films "Lust for a Vampire," "The Vampire Lovers" and "Twins of Evil." Those films were dull enough. This one is even duller. A body double is used for the nude scenes of the wife (Maribel Martin). Aranda is the director of some critically acclaimed foreign sex films, including the 1991 crime drama "The Lovers." |
