BEHIND LOCKED DOORS (1968) Directed by Charles RomineStarring Daniel Garth A "Last House on the Left"-style film that actually predates that masterpiece by about five years, but was naturally re-released to cash in on the success of that movie later. It turns up on some lists as having been produced in the 1970s. The South African production has a pair of women spend the night at a man's home when their car breaks down. Of course, he turns out to be a maniac with a museum of stuffed, naked women in his basement. Weak movie, despite a rawness you don't see in films made today. It's also interesting in that it predated "Last House." Extremely hard to find, however. |
