AFTER MIDNIGHT (1989) Directed by Ken and Jim WheatStarring Jillian McWherther and Marg Hendelberger A modern horror film with one of the worst, most over-used twist ending concepts ever used in film: It all turns out to be a dream at the end! Yeah, pretty suck ass, but they actually released this and it's available in thousands of video stores. You're bound to run into it. This anthology film features three stories that basically could have been shown on the modern "Albert Hitchcock Presents" series: None of them are supernatural, but they all involve psychotics. In one tale, some valley girls face a small army of vicious dogs. In another, a late-night operator is stalked by a psychopath. The best part comes near the very end, when a college professor gets his come-uppance for a prank he played on a student. But, in the end, the flick's cop-out (It's all a dream!) is just too much to endure. Barely worth catching for free on the boob tube. Otherwise, skip it.
