Phantasm 4: Oblivion (1998)
Directed by Don Coscarelli

Starring Angus Scrimm Michael Baldwin Reggie Bannister

Mildly interesting to hardcore fans of the series, this last—and hopefully final—entry in the "Phantasm" saga consists mostly of unused footage from the first movie.

The entire original cast, looking quite old after nearly 20 years, returns for a plotless retread of the themes from the first movie. The film is set almost entirely in a desert. Baldwin (the boy from the first movie, now a middle-aged man) has recollections from the past and sees vision of the Tall Man (Scrimm) and those flying, brain-sucking balls we all know and love.

Meanwhile, Reggie Bannister, the only actor to star in all four of these films, returns as Baldwin's loyal brother. He has a run in with a gorgeous babe who has brain-sucking silver balls for breasts! It was bound to happen at one point in these movies.

The film has some nice setpieces and it's fun to see all that unused footage from Part 1, but an almost total lack of a storyline and a completely confusing ending makes it a waste of time for all but the most hardened of "Phantasm" buffs.

Hey Lucius Gore - Angus Scrimm was one of the other 'only' actors to star in all four of these films + Baldwin "has recollections from the past and sees [visions !] of the Tall Man...". These movies suffer too much already without reviews packed full of grammatical and "Eigo no" errors.. PLEASE!! ;)
