'The Devils' on the Big Screen in SF

October 1, 2008 On Friday, Ken Russell's banned "The Devils" screens at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, along with Roman Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby." Must be the Halloween season!

"The Devils" (review here) recently had a slated DVD release from Warner Bros. pulled because the film has apparently been deemed too over-the-top to release. So if you live in Northern California, this is a very rare opportunity to see it. Plus, the Castro Theatre is one amazing revival house. Click here for more.

In addition, the "Rosemary's Baby" print being screened is a newly struck 35 mm, so it should look fantastic.
