On Friday, Ken Russell's banned "The Devils" screens at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, along with Roman Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby." Must be the Halloween season!
"The Devils" (review here) recently had a slated DVD release from Warner Bros. pulled because the film has apparently been deemed too over-the-top to release. So if you live in Northern California, this is a very rare opportunity to see it. Plus, the Castro Theatre is one amazing revival house. Click here for more.
In addition, the "Rosemary's Baby" print being screened is a newly struck 35 mm, so it should look fantastic.
