Filming Begins on New 'Friday the 13th' Documentary    Share

August 20, 2008 The first week of February, Starz will air "His Name Was Jason," a documentary about legendary slasher Jason from the "Friday the 13th" franchise. A DVD release from Anchor Bay will follow.

Daniel Farrands, who edited and copublished the awesome coffee table book "Crystal Lake Memories," is directing. Basically the documentary is the ultimate "special edition"-style extra all about the longest running slasher franchise in the history of movies (not including the remake of "Halloween," which technically carried that franchise longer.)
