This is great news for horror fans. With HD-DVD officially dead, William Lustig's DVD label Blue Underground just let it be known they are supporting Blu-Ray.
"We are proud to announce that a number of high definition Blu-ray releases are in the works. We will have more information soon."
Blue Underground features some of the best horror titles available, including Dario Argento's full uncut version of "Deep Red", Lucio Fulci's "Zombie" and the '70s lesbo vampire classic "Daughters of Darkness". Of course, they also carry Lustig's own "Maniac".
In short, it's looking like it's time to pick up a Blu-Ray player. The format is already home to "Dawn of the Dead" and the original "Halloween."
