February 25, 2008 Some quick news bites on "Friday the 13th", "The Ruins" and "The Signal".

Scout Taylor-Compton (Laurie Strode in the "Halloween" remake) told FearNet that she's been approached by the makers of the "Friday the 13th" remake to star in their movie. ... A teaser site for Alexandre Aja's "Mirrors" is up now. Check it out here.

Two men were randomly stabbed at a screening of "The Signal" in Fullerton, Calif. on Sunday, according to the Orange County Register. Life imitating art. Get this: "the film was paused while police conducted their investigation. When it was resumed, the first scene was a stabbing."
