Daily Horror Briefing: 'Wolf Man', 'Last House' Casting, 'Eye' Box Office   

February 4, 2008 A few news items for Superbowl Sunday.

Joe Johnston will direct the "Wolf Man" remake, according to AICN, after the original director (Mark Romanek) left. He beat out competitors like John Landis. ... Garret Dillahunt will play Krug in director Dennis Iliadis' remake of Wes Craven's "Last House on the Left," according to Variety. He joins Rhys Coiro, Martha Maclsaac and Riki Lindhome in the film, set to start filming March 24 in South Africa. Wes Craven is co-producing. ... "The Eye" PG-13 remake, starring Jessica Alba, scared up $13 million during Superbowl Weekend, easily being trounced by the "Hannah Montana" 3-D concert movie.
