January 7, 2010 Original 'Nightmare on Elm Street' Gets Blu Ray Release

Previously only available as a good looking Canadian import, the original 1984 "Nightmare on Elm Street" is at last getting a Blu Ray release in the U.S. on April 6, thanks to the impending release of the remake. Plus, all 8 of the original films in the franchise (from "Nightmare" to "Freddy vs. Jason") are getting released in a box set on DVD the same day. (Too bad they aren't all getting the Blu Ray treatment too.) Check out the box art.
