'Night of the Living Dead' Gets Re-released in Spain
December 23, 2009
George Romero's 1968 classic "Night of the Living Dead" is getting another theatrical release. This one is in Spain -- and it's the 3D version of the film premiered by Passmore Labs as part of a Johnny Ramone tribute in October.
I have heard nothing about the quality of the 3D in this film, which of course was originally shot in 2D. Passmore Labs has apparently discovered a way of turning 2D films into 3D films -- effectively. Since "NOTLD" is public domain, they took a crack at it.
Here's the trailer for the Spanish release, which for some reason doesn't mention 3D at all. The film has also been newly (and badly) colorized.
