Quick Book Review - 'Hammer Glamour'

October 5, 2009 We recently scored a review copy of the incredible coffee table book "Hammer Glamour." It's a mind blowing collection of photos and profiles of the most gorgeous actresses to star in the films of Hammer studios.

Written by Marcus Hearn, who also penned "The Hammer Story," "Hammer Glamour" is most valuable for its eye candy -- incredible full color photographs of the ladies of Hammer, from Caroline Munro to Raquel Welch. But it also features excellent profiles of the actresses, some of whom (like Nastasja Kinski) regret some of the things they starred in for the studio.

The editor of Hammer Horror Magazine, Hearn is an absolute expert on everything the studio did. This is the first book I can think of that presents the women of Hammer in such an impressive way. Basically, this book is like the coffee table "Bond Girls Are Forever" -- but about the women of Hammer.
