August 19, 2009 Shawn Ashmore has joined Jaime King (of "My Bloody Valentine 3D"), Briana Evigan, and Alexa Vega in the cast of Darren Lynn Bousman's "Mother's Day".

King will play "Beth." I don't remember that character name from the original. But if Bousman follows the original's storyline, it was about a group of Sex and the City-style feminists who head into the woods and are taken out by in-bred rednecks led by a crazy mother -- hence the title "Mother's Day."
