Monsters HD, RIP    Share

January 19, 2009 In some seriously sad news for horror fans, Monsters HD, arguably the very best horror TV channel around, is going out of business.

Official word from the offical site:

"Monsters HD - Born: October 2008 - Died: January 2009. TV's first and longest-running hi-def horror and creature feature channel will cease operations and mad experiments this month. Thanks for all the screams and support through the years. Fear not - monsters never die ... they always come back! Pleasant dreams fiends."

Monsters HD was a casualty, it seems, of the Voom Network losing access to subscribers of Dish Network. If you visit the offical site, you can still catch streaming versions of "Halloween" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" free.
