Actually to call it a horror movie is a bit of a stretch. But the teen/romance/vampire film beat out James Bond at the box office!
As reported in today's New York Times:
'Twilight' took a giant bite out of the North American box office over the weekend, selling an estimated $70.6 million in tickets and proving that a wholesome love story can still turn out a huge young-adult audience.

So it looks like the most successful vampire movie of all time is going to be a teen romance.
